Section 1Citation and commencement
This order may be cited as the Isles of Scilly (Mental Health) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 12th March 1985.

Section 2Extension of the Mental Health Act 1983 to the Isles of Scilly
The Mental Health Act 1983 shall extend to the Isles of Scilly with the modification that the expression “ local social services authority ” in that Act shall, in relation to those Isles, mean the Council of those Isles constituted under the Isles of Scilly Order 1978.
Section 3Revocation
The Isles of Scilly (Mental Health) Order 1962 is hereby revoked.
