Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) (Great Britain) (Amendment) Regulations 1985, and shall come into operation on 2nd December 1985.

Section 2

The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) (Great Britain) Regulations 1984 are hereby amended so that in Regulation 3 (Application), in paragraph (2), at the end of sub-paragraph (i) “or” is omitted, for the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (j) there is substituted “;” and there are added the following sub-paragraphs:—

(k) a motor vehicle for which a first licence was granted under the Vehicles (Excise) Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 on or after 2nd December 1985; or

(l) a motor vehicle in respect of which there exists a certificate issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 31A of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981
