Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Official Log Books) (Amendments) Regulations 1985 and shall come into operation on 31st December 1985.

Section 2

The Merchant Shipping (Disciplinary Offences) Regulations 1972 are hereby revoked.

Section 3

The Merchant Shipping (Official Log Books) Regulations 1981 shall be amended as follows:

(a) in regulation 1(1) the definition of “the Disciplinary Offences Regulations” shall be deleted;

(b) in regulation 10(3) paragraph (b) shall be deleted;

(c) in the Schedule Part II (entries relating to ships to which the Disciplinary Offences Regulations apply) shall be deleted.
