Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) (Amendment) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 7th January 1985.

The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) (Amendment) Order 1985
Section 2
The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) Order 1983 shall be amended by deleting in article 3(1) the words “the said Convention and Protocol” and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:—
(aa) the Convention and Protocol; and
(bb) amendments thereto adopted by the Marine Environment Protection Committee of the International Maritime Organization at its 20th Session by resolution MEPC 14(20),
