Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers' Compensation) (Specified Diseases) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1986.

Section 2Specified Diseases

The following diseases are specified for the purposes of the 1979 Act—
(a) asbestos-related primary carcinoma of the lung;
(b) unilateral or bilateral diffuse pleural thickening.
