The Non-metropolitan Counties (Local Statutory Provisions) Order 1986

Section 1

This order may be cited as the Non-metropolitan Counties (Local Statutory Provisions) Order 1986 and shall come into operation on 4th August 1986.

Section 2

The following local statutory provisions shall be exempt from repeal in pursuance of section 262(9) of the Local Government Act 1972—

(a) section 7 of the Act of 1834 4 & 5 Will 4 c.xlvi (which relates to Poole Bridge) ;

(b) sections 1, 2 and 78 of the Nottingham Corporation Act 1882;

(c) sections 1, 3, 7(1) and (2)(a), 9, 13 to 15, 34, 35, 47, 50, 64 to 69 and 72 of and Schedule 1 to the Lindsey County Council (Sandhills) Act 1932;

(d) sections 1(1), 4 and 147 of the Ipswich Corporation Act 1948;

(e) sections 1, 3 to 23, 26, 28 to 46, 48 to 50 and 52 to 58 of and Schedules 1 and 2, paragraphs 1 to 5 and 14 to 41 of Schedule 3 and Schedule 4 to the Cheshire Brine Pumping (Compensation for Subsidence) Act 1952 ;

(f) sections 1, 4 to 13, 23, 24, 26 to 35, 38 and 40 to 42 of and Schedules 2 and 3 to the Letchworth Garden City Corporation Act 1962; and

(g) sections 1, 3 to 9, 11 to 14 and 17 of and Schedules 1, 2 and 4 to the Eton Rural District Council Act 1971.
