Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Museums and Galleries Commission) Order 1986 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1987 (hereinafter called “ the commencement date ”).

Section 2

The Standing Commission on Museums and Galleries is hereby removed from Schedule 1 to the 1972 Act.

Section 3

Employment as a member of the staff of the Museums and Galleries Commission is hereby added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the 1972 Act.

Section 4

For the purposes of any scheme made under section 1 of the 1972 Act, there shall be deemed to have been no break at the commencement date in the employment of a present member of the staff of the Standing Commission on Museums and Galleries who, as from that date, is employed by the Museums and Galleries Commission.
