Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Riot (Damages) (Amendment) Regulations 1986 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1986.

Section 2

In these Regulations “ the principal Regulations ” means the Regulations dated 1st October 1921 made by the Secretary of State under section 3(2) of the Riot (Damages) Act 1886 as to claims for compensation .

Section 3

In Regulation 1 of the principal Regulations, there shall be substituted for the entries following that relating to the Metropolitan Police District, the following entries:—
