Section 1Citation and commencement

These regulations, which may be cited as the Social Security (Contributions) Amendment Regulations 1987, amend the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 1979 and shall come into force on 6th April 1987.

Section 2Amendment of regulation 7 of the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 1979

In regulation 7 of the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 1979 (lower and upper earnings limits for Class 1 contributions)—
(a) for the words “6th April 1986” there shall be substituted the words “6th April 1987”; and
(b) for “£38” and “£285” there shall be substituted respectively “£39” and “£295”.
