These Rules may be cited as the Youth Custody Centre (Amendment) Rules 1987 and shall come into force on 13th August 1987.

The Youth Custody Centre (Amendment) Rules 1987
Section 2
Rule 5 of the Youth Custody Centre Rules 1983 (which relates to remission of sentence) shall be amended by inserting in paragraph (1)—
(a) after the word “exceeding” the words “,in the case of a sentence for a term of more than 12 months,” and
(b) after the word “sentences)” the words, “and in the case of a sentence for a term not exceeding 12 months, one-half of that total”.
