These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 1st October 1987.

The National Health Service (General Dental Services) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1987
(1) The National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations 1973 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.
(2) In regulation 26D (Amount and time of payments in consequence of suspension)—
(a) in paragraph (1)(a)(i) for the amount “£1808” there shall be substituted the amount “£1935”;
(b) in paragraph (1)(a)(ii) for the amount “£904” there shall be substituted the amount “£967”;
(c) in paragraph (1)(b)(i) for the amount “£904” there shall be substituted the amount “£967”;
(d) in paragraph (1)(b)(ii) for the amount “£1808” there shall be substituted the amount “£1935” and
(e) in paragraph (2) for the amount “£99,415” in both places where it occurs there shall be substituted the amount “£107,103”.
(3) In Part I of Schedule 1 (terms of service for dentists) in paragraph 10A (preventive treatment) after the words “topical fluoride preparations” there shall be inserted the words “or fissure sealants”.
