Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Submersible Craft Operations) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 12th October 1987.

Section 2 Citation and commencement

The Merchant Shipping (Submersible Craft Operations) Regulations 1987 shall be amended as follows:—

(a) for regulation 7(1)(b) there shall be substituted the following:—

there is produced to him a valid safety certificate issued by the Certifying Authority under the Merchant Shipping (Submersible Craft Construction and Survey) Regulations 1981 in respect of the submersible craft and its supporting equipment;

(b) in paragraphs I and II of Schedule 5, for “1986” there shall be substituted “1987”.
