The lengths of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as principal road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Councils of Berkshire and Oxfordshire that the section of the A404 road between Burchetts Green and the M40 motorway has become a trunk road.
In this Order—
(i) “the deposited plan”
(ii) “principal road”
(iii) “the Trunk Road”
In this Order all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the Trunk Road.
This Order shall come into force on 20th November 1987 and may be cited as the A423 West of Maidenhead—Oxford Trunk Road (Burchetts Green to A4142 Heyford Hill Roundabout) Detrunking Order 1987.
