The lengths of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be trunk road and the length thereof marked B on the said plan shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Somerset that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

The Bath to West of Southampton Trunk Road A36 (Beckington Bypass) (Detrunking) Order 1987
In this Order—
(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;
(2)
(i) “classified road”
(ii) “the deposited plan”
(iii) “the new trunk road”
(iv) “the Trunk Road”
This Order shall come into force on 8th January 1988 and may be cited as the Bath to West of Southampton Trunk Road A36 (Beckington Bypass) (Detrunking) Order 1987.
That length of the Trunk Road from a point approximately 60 metres north west of its junction with Straight Lane to the centre line of its junction with the A361 Trowbridge Road;
That length of the Trunk Road from the centre line of its junction with the A361 Trowbridge Road to a point approximately 148 metres south east of the centre line of the access track to White Row Farm;
That length of the Trunk Road from a point approximately 148 metres south east of the centre line of its junction with the access track to White Row Farm to a point approximately 250 metres north west of its junction with Rudge Road.
