The Copyright (Computer Software) (Extension to Territories) Order 1987

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Copyright (Computer Software) (Extension to Territories) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st February 1988.

Section 2

The Copyright (Computer Software) Amendment Act 1985 , except section 4(3) and (5) thereof, shall extend to the countries mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Order, subject to the modifications specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.

Section 1

The references in the Copyright (Computer Software) Amendment Act 1985 (in this Schedule referred to as “the 1985 Act”) to the Copyright Act 1956 shall be construed as references to the said Act of 1956, as modified in its extension to the country concerned .

Section 2

In section 3 of the 1985 Act, for the words “sections 21 to 21B” there shall be substituted—

(a) in British Indian Ocean Territory, in Falkland Islands and in South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, the words “section 21”;

(b) in the other countries mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Order, the words “sections 21 and 21A”.
