Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Passenger Ship Construction) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on1st March 1988.

Section 2

Regulation 1 (3) (b) of the Merchant Shipping (Passenger Ship Construction and Survey) Regulations 1984 ( ) shall be replaced by the following:—

(b) Part VIA shall only apply to non-United Kingdom ro/ro passenger ships while they are within a port in the United Kingdom.

Section 3

Regulation 1 (3) (b) of the Merchant Shipping (Passenger Ship Construction) Regulations 1980 ( ) shall be replaced by the following:—

(b) Part VIIB shall only apply to non-United Kingdom ro/ro passenger ships while they are within a port in the United Kingdom.
