Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Improvement and Repairs Grants) (Approved Expenses Maxima) (Scotland) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 5th February 1988.

(2) In this Order—

“ the Act ” means the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987; and “housing association” means a registered housing association within the meaning of the Housing Associations Act 1985

Section 2 Application

The provisions of this Order shall apply in relation to any application for an improvement grant or repairs grant, or for a grant for a fire escape under section 249 of the Act, which is approved by the local authority on or after the date of coming into force of this Order.

Section 3 Maximum amounts of approved expenses

In each of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order, there are prescribed, in place of the amounts specified opposite thereto in column 2 thereof, the amounts specified in column 3 in respect of the cases described in column 4 of that Schedule.

Section 4 List of standard amenities and maximum of approved expenses

Schedule 18 to the Act (standard amenities) is hereby varied by substituting for Part I thereof the following:—

Section 5 Revocations

The Housing (Standard Amenities Approved Expense) (Scotland) Order 1983 ) and the Housing (Improvement and Repair Grants) (Approved Expenses Maxima) (Scotland) Regulations 1983 are hereby revoked.
