Section 1Citation and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Family Income Supplements (General) Amendment Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 24th March 1987.

Section 2Insertion of new regulation 3A in the Family Income Supplements (General) Regulations 1980

After regulation 3 of the Family Income Supplements (General) Regulations 1980 there shall be inserted the following regulation:—
Termination of awards
(3A) Notwithstanding any provision in the Act or these regulations, where a claim is made on or after 24th March 1987 the period for which benefit is payable on the claim shall expire on a date not later than 11th April 1988.
