This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 (Continuance) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 25th January 1987.

The Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 (Continuance) Order 1987
In this Order “the temporary provisions of the Act of 1978 ” means all the provisions of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978, except sections 5 and 28 to 36, Part III of Schedule 4, Schedules 5 and 6 and, so far as they relate to offences which are scheduled offences by virtue of the said Part III, sections 2, 6 and 7.
The temporary provisions of the Act of 1978, except section 12 and
Schedule 1, shall continue in force for a period of six months beginning with 25th January 1987.
