Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Colleges of Education (Allowances to Governors: Prescribed Bodies) (Scotland) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 1st April 1987.

Section 2Prescription of governing bodies of colleges of education
The governing bodies of colleges of education, constituted by the Colleges of Education (Scotland) Regulations 1987 , are hereby prescribed for the purposes of sections 45 to 47 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 .
