These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Unemployment, Sickness and Invalidity Benefit) Amendment Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 4th March 1987.

The Social Security (Unemployment, Sickness and Invalidity Benefit) Amendment Regulations 1987
After sub-paragraph (m) of paragraph (1) of regulation 7 of the Social Security (Unemployment, Sickness and Invalidity Benefit) Regulations 1983 there shall be inserted the following sub-paragraph—
(n) a day shall not be treated as a day of unemployment in relation to any person if it falls in a week during any part of which that person is employed in employment under arrangements made by the Secretary of State under section 5 of the Employment and Training Act 1973 ; but this sub-paragraph does not apply to any day before the first day of employment in the first week in which he is employed under such arrangements or after the last day of employment in the last week in which he is so employed.
