Section 1 Title and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Intervention Functions (Delegation) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 1st July 1988.

Section 2 Amendment of the Intervention Functions (Delegation) Regulations 1972

The Intervention Functions (Delegation) Regulations 1972 are hereby amended —

(a) by the insertion in regulation 1(3) of the following definition after the definition of “the Board”:— ““cereals” means cereals referred to in article 1(a) and (b) of Council Regulation ( EEC ) No. 2727/75 on the common organisation of the market in cereals , as amended , produced in the Community;”; and

(b) by the substitution for regulation 2 of the following regulation:—

(2) The Authority shall have power to carry out in the United Kingdom such of the Board’s functions with respect to cereals and oilseed rape as the Board may with the approval of the Ministers and the agreement of the Authority delegate to the Authority in writing.
