Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Savings Bank (Amendment) Regulations 1988, and shall come into force on 28th July 1988.

Section 2 Amendment of principal Regulations

The National Savings Bank Regulations 1972 shall be amended as follows:

(a) in regulation 2(1) the definition of “trustee savings bank” shall be omitted;

(b) regulation 34 is hereby revoked;

(c) in regulation 41(2)(c) the words “(not being stock” to “savings banks)” shall be omitted.
