Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 1st August 1988.

(2) In these Regulations any reference to a numbered Schedule is a reference to the Schedule bearing that number in the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes Regulations 1984 .

Section 2 Amendment of Schedule 1

Schedule 1 (fees to accompany applications) shall be amended as follows—

(a) in paragraph 1 for “£550.” there shall be substituted “£600”.; and

(b) in paragraph 2 for “£350.” there shall be substituted “£380.”.

Section 3 Amendment of Schedule 3

Schedule 3 (annual fees) shall be amended as follows—

(a) in paragraph 1 for “£20” there shall be substituted “£22”; and

(b) in paragraph 4 for “£175.” there shall be substituted “£190.”.
