The Education Support Grants (Amendment) Regulations 1988

Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Education Support Grants (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 12th August 1988.

Section 2

For regulation 4 of the Education Support Grants Regulations 1984 there shall be substituted the following regulation—

(1) Grants paid after 12th August 1988 in respect of any expenditure which is approved as provided in regulation 3 shall, except as provided in paragraph (2), be payable at the rate of 70 per cent. of the expenditure so approved.

(2) Such grants in respect of any expenditure which is approved as provided in regulation 3 in respect of item 4(a) in the Schedule hereto and which is incurred on or after 1st April 1988 shall be payable at the rate of 50 per cent.
