These Regulations may be cited as the Textile Products (Indications of Fibre Content) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 1st September 1988.

The Textile Products (Indications of Fibre Content) (Amendment) Regulations 1988
The Textile Products (Indications of Fibre Content) Regulations 1986 are hereby amended as follows:—
(a) at the end of regulation 9(a) there shall be added the words “to any destination except a destination in another member State”;
(b) in Part I of Schedule 2, in Column 1 of entry 20, for the word “model” there shall be substituted the word “modal”; and
(c) in Schedule 3—
(i) in item 1—2, for the word “combined” there shall be substituted the word “combed”;
(ii) in items 1—2 and 3 for “17.00” there shall be substituted “17.00 ”, and the following shall be added at the bottom of the first page of the Schedule:—
The agreed allowances of 17.00 per cent. shall also be applied where it is impossible to ascertain whether the textile product containing wool and/or animal hair is combed or carded.
(iii) for item 28 there shall be substituted the following:—
discontinuous fibre
filament
(iv) in item 38, for the words “filament with a” there shall be substituted the words “with an average” in both cases that they occur.
