Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Savings Stock Register (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 22nd August 1988.

Section 2 Amendment of principal Regulations

The National Savings Stock Register Regulations 1976 shall be amended as follows—

(a) regulation 51 is hereby revoked;

(b) in regulation 57(3) there shall be inserted at the end the words “and of section 20(4)(b) of that Act (persons who may be required to produce documents relating to liability of taxpayer arising from business)”.
