Section 1

The length of the Trunk Road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the Council of the London Borough of Ealing that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

Section 2

In this Order—

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway; and

(2)

(i) “the deposited plan”

(ii) “the new trunk road”

(iii) “the Trunk Road”

Section 3

This Order shall come into force on 15th September 1988 and may be cited as the A406 London North Circular Trunk Road (Popes Lane (B4491) to Western Avenue (A40) Improvement, Detrunking) Order 1988.
