Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Breckland and Suffolk River Valleys) Designation (Amendment) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 20th October 1988.

Section 2 Amendment of principal Orders

(1) The Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Breckland) Designation Order shall be amended in accordance with paragraph 2 below.

(2) In the first sentence of Schedule 2 (Requirements for arable land which is to revert to heathland or dry grassland), Schedule 4 (Requirements relating to uncropped wildlife strips) and Schedule 5 (Requirements relating to conservation headlands), the words “in rotation” shall be deleted.

Section 3 Amendment of principal Orders

(1) The Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Suffolk River Valleys) Designation Order shall be amended in accordance with paragraph 2 below.

(2) In the first sentence of Schedule 3 (Reversion to grassland) the words “in rotation” shall be deleted.
