Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Employment Protection (Medical Suspension) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st October 1989.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order “the 1978 Act” means the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978.

Section 3 Removals from Schedule

The following provisions are hereby removed from the list of specified provisions in Schedule 1 to the 1978 Act (provisions leading to suspension on medical grounds):—
