The Education (Higher Education Corporations) (No. 2) Order 1988

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Education (Higher Education Corporations) (No. 2) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 21st November 1988.

Section 2

There shall be established, as from 21st November 1988, a body corporate to conduct, as from 1st April 1989, the institution known as the Winchester School of Art being an institution which appears to the Secretary of State to satisfy the criteria set out in section 122(3) of the Education Reform Act 1988.

Section 3

1st April 1989 is hereby appointed as the transfer date for the said corporation for the purposes of section 126 of that Act.

Section 4

The County Council of Hampshire and the Council of the City of Winchester are each hereby specified as a local authority entitled to nominate a local authority nominee as an initial nominee member of the said corporation.
