Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Education (Higher Education Corporations) (No.3) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 21st November 1988.

Section 2

There shall be established, as from 21st November 1988, a body corporate to conduct, as from 1st April 1989, the institution known as the Falmouth School of Art and Design being an institution which appears to the Secretary of State to satisfy the criteria set out in section 122(1) of the Education Reform Act 1988 and whose full-time equivalent enrolment number for courses of higher education appears to him to exceed 350.

Section 3

1st April 1989 is hereby appointed as the transfer date for the said corporation for the purposes of section 126 of that Act.

Section 4

The County Council of Cornwall is hereby specified as the local authority entitled to nominate two local authority nominees as initial nominee members of the said corporation.
