Section 1 Title and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Rate Support Grant (Specified Bodies) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 2nd December 1988.

Section 2 Specified Bodies

The following bodies are hereby specified for the purposes of section 56(9)(a) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 namely:—

(a) The Local Government Training Board;

(b) The Fire Services Examinations Board;

(c) The Local Authorities' Race Relations Information Exchange;

(d) The Local Authority Management Services and Computer Committee ( LAMSAC );

(e) The Local Authorities' Conditions of Service Advisory Board;

(f) The National Foundation for Educational Research;

(g) The Further Education Staff College;

(h) The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education;

(i) The Local Government International Bureau; and

(j) The Local Authorities Co-ordinating Body on Trading Standards.

Section 3 Revocation

The regulations specified in the Schedule to these regulations are hereby revoked.
