Section 1Citation and interpretation
(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing Act 1988 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1988.
(2) In this Order“ the Act ” means the Housing Act 1988.

Section 2Coming into force of certain provisions of the Act
The provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters mentioned in column 2 thereof) shall, except as otherwise provided in the said Column 1, come into force on 1st December 1988.
