Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations, which may be cited as the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Amendment Regulations 1988, shall come into force on 1st January 1989.

Section 2Amendment of Regulation 3 of the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Regulations 1973
Regulation 3 of the Medicines (Pharmacies) (Applications for Registration and Fees) Regulations 1973 shall be amended as follows:—
(a) in paragraph (1) (fee for registration of premises), for “£84” there shall be substituted “£88” and for “£43” there shall be substituted “£45”; and
(b) in paragraph (2) (retention fee), for “£53” there shall be substituted “£56” and for “£38” there shall be substituted “£40”.
