Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Categorisation of Registries of Overseas Territories) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 20th January 1989.

Section 1A

unlimited tonnage and type, under which there is no restriction as to the ships which may be registered in that territory.

(2) Bermuda and the Isle of Man are assigned to Category 1A.

Section 2

(1) There is established the following category of registry for the registration of ships in the relevant overseas territories:
