Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 15th January 1989.

Section 2 Amendment of the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations 1973

In regulation 23(1) of the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations 1973 (Statement of Dental Remuneration)—

(a) in column 1 (Determination) below“ VA ”, there shall be inserted“VB”; and

(b) in column 2 (subject matter of determination) there shall be inserted, so as to relate to determination VB,“Partial reimbursement of expenses incurred, or likely to be incurred, in setting up or expanding a practice in an area where there is a shortage of dentists providing general dental services;”.
