These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Benefit) (Members of the Forces) Amendment Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 11th April 1988.

The Social Security (Benefit) (Members of the Forces) Amendment Regulations 1988
In regulation 3(1) of the Social Security (Benefit) (Members of the Forces) Regulations 1975 , for the words“the period of 6 weeks next after such discharge, cashiering or dismissal” there shall be substituted the words“such period not exceeding 26 weeks as may be determined in accordance with sections 97 to 104 of the Act or, as the case may be, sections 97 to 104 of the Northern Ireland Act (adjudication by adjudication officers and other statutory authorities).”.
