These Regulations may be cited as the Income Support (Transitional) Amendment No. 2 Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 11th April 1988.

The Income Support (Transitional) Amendment No. 2 Regulations 1988
(1) The Income Support (Transitional) Regulations 1987 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.
(2) In regulation 14 (reduction and termination of transitional and personal expenses addition)—
(a) after paragraph (1B) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—
(1C) Notwithstanding paragraph (1)(b), (c) or (e) the amount of a claimant’s transitional addition shall not be reduced if, and to the extent that, the increase in his income or, as the case may be, the reason his income exceeds his applicable amount, is attributable to the receipt of a training allowance.
(b) at the end of paragraph (5) there shall be added the words “but not if, and to the extent that, the increase is attributable to the receipt of a training allowance”.
(3) In regulation 15 (special transitional addition) at the end of paragraph (2) there shall be added the words “but not if, and to the extent that, the increase is attributable to the receipt of a training allowance”.
