Section 1
These Rules may be cited as the Prison (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 1988 and shall come into force on 25th April 1988.

The Prison (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 1988
Section 2
Where any constable or member of the armed forces of the Crown is employed by reason of any emergency to assist the governor of a prison by performing duties ordinarily performed by an officer of the prison, any reference in Part I of the Prison Rules 1964 to such an officer (other than a governor) shall be construed as including a reference to a constable or a member of the armed forces of the Crown so employed.
