Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Crown Prosecution Service (Witnesses' Allowances) (Amendment No. 7) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 23rd May 1988.

Section 2

In Schedule 1 to the Crown Prosecution Service (Witnesses' Allowances) Regulations 1986 , in Column 3 of the Table, which sets out relevant amounts in relation to allowances payable under those Regulations—

(a) for the sum of £27.50 in the entry for regulation 6(a) (financial loss allowance in respect of certain expenditure incurred by a witness who attends to give evidence other than professional or expert evidence) there shall be substituted £29.70; and

(b) for the sums of £13.75 and £27.50 in the entry for regulation 6(b) (financial loss allowance in respect of certain losses suffered by such a witness) there shall be substituted £14.85 and £29.70 respectively.

Section 3

Regulation 3 of the Crown Prosecution Service (Witnesses' Allowances) (Amendment No. 5) Regulations 1987 is hereby revoked.
