Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (Payment of Remuneration — Special Arrangement) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 6th June 1988.

Section 2 Functions conferred on District and Special Health Authorities

Each District Health Authority and special health authority shall have the function of paying remuneration to any person in respect of pharmaceutical services provided by him which consist of the supply of drugs, medicines or listed appliances ordered by a medical practitioner in pursuance of that authority’s functions.
