Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Docks and Harbours (Rateable Values)(Amendment) Order 1988 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Section 2
In relation to any year beginning on or after 1st April 1988, the Docks and Harbours (Rateable Values) Order 1976 is amended as follows:—
(a) in article 2(2), in the definition of “the Index”, for the word “index” there is substituted the words “General Index”; and
(b) in article 4(2)(b), “35.6147” is substituted for “140.5” as the numerator in the formula.
