This Order may be cited as the Pensions (Miscellaneous Offices) (Preservation of Benefits) (Amendment) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 6th July 1989.

Section 1Citation and commencement
Section 2Interpretation
In this Order “the principal Order ” means the Pensions (Miscellaneous Offices) (Preservation of Benefits) Order 1977 .
Section 3Office-holder’s pension: qualifying service
In article 5(1) of the principal Order there shall be substituted for the word “five” the word “two”.
Section 4Office-holder’s pension: qualifying service
This Order shall have effect from 6th April 1988.
