Section 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Abolition of Corporal Punishment) (Independent Schools) (Amendment) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 1st September 1989.

The Education (Abolition of Corporal Punishment) (Independent Schools) (Amendment) Regulations 1989
Section 2
After paragraph (b) of regulation 2 of the Education (Abolition of Corporal Punishment) (Independent Schools) Regulations 1987 , there shall be added the following paragraphs–
(c) a city technology college which is, for the time being, assisted by a Minister of the Crown, and
(d) a city college for the technology of the arts, which is, for the time being, so assisted.
