This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No.4) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 31st July 1989.

The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No.4) Order 1989
The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1987 shall be amended as follows:
(a) after article 2 (xiv) there shall be inserted the following:–
(xv) scheduled goods indicated by the letter “Y” are prohibited to be exported to any destination in Syria.
(b) in Group 3I of Part II of Schedule 1, in the unnumbered entry Chemicals (after entry IL 1781 (synthetic lubricating oils and greases)):
(i) for the letter “I” in heads (1), (2) and (10), there shall be substituted the letters “I, L, Y”;
(ii) for the letter “A” in head (5), there shall be substituted the letters “I, L, Y”; and
(iii) at the end there shall be inserted the following additional heads:–
(13) Thionyl chloride A
(14) Dimethylamine hydrochloride I, L, Y
