Section 1
This Order may be cited as the Arbitration (Foreign Awards) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st September 1989.

Section 2
The States listed in the Schedule to this Order are parties to the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards which was adopted on 10th June 1958 and came into force in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 23rd December 1975.
Section 3
The Arbitration (Foreign Awards) (Amendment) Order 1985 and the Arbitration (Foreign Awards) Order 1986 are hereby revoked.
