Section 1Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Direct Labour Organisations) (Specified Number of Employed Persons) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st October 1989.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.

Section 2Specified number of employed persons

Fifteen is hereby specified as the number of persons for the purposes of sections 11(1) and 21(1) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980.
