Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motorcycles (Sound Level Measurement Certificates) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 1st October 1989.

Section 2

The Motorcycles (Sound Level Measurement Certificates) Regulations 1980 are hereby amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3

In regulation 2(1) in the definition of “Council Directive” there shall be inserted after the words “18th December 1986” the words “and by Council Directive 89/235/ EEC of 13th March 1989” .

Section 4

In the form specified in Schedule 2 –

(a) in the heading after “18th December 1986” there shall be inserted “and by Council Directive 89/235/EEC of 13th March 1989”; and

(b) at the end of paragraph 6 there shall be added “and by Council Directive 89/235/EEC ”; and

(c) at the end of footnote (3) there shall be added “and by Council Directive 89/235/EEC ”.
