This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1989.

The Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1989
Section 2
The following provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 shall come into force on 26th September 1989–
(a) Section 1(9) to the extent necessary to bring into force Part II of Schedule 1; and
(b) Part II of Schedule 1 (amendment of the Backing of Warrants (Republic of Ireland) Act 1965 to introduce into that Act provisions corresponding to certain provisions of Part I of the Criminal Justice Act 1988).
